Artscape - CapeTown

Destiny Seating is proud to have been awarded the seating contract, to design, manufacture and install 1621 new state of the art theatre seats, at Artscape, Cape Town. Originally established 40 years ago as the official performing arts council for the Western Cape, Artscape has today developed into a vibrant, multi-functional creative arts centre, offering exceptional venue facilities and specialist theatrical services.

Designed in collabaration with Gapp Architects, Cape Town, we developed a bespoke product as per our clients particular requirements, incorporating aluminium leg uprights, wood veneered under seat and back covers, solid wooden armrests and moulded PU seat & back foam. The entire product was designed & manufactured in our Epping Cape Town factory, with an mid November 2009 handover date.
